The Legal Services Board (LSB) recently published its third research report focusing on the legal needs of small businesses. With over 10,000 responses, it is the largest ever survey of small firms' interactions with the legal sector.
The Client Survey allows clients to feed back their views directly to CILEx Regulation. Research always finds that recommendation and reputation are the main reasons given by clients for choosing their lawyer. An excellent 91 percent of clients who responded to the survey during 2017 would recommend their Chartered Legal Executive.
Consumers need information about price, service, how to complain and regulatory protections so they can make informed decisions when choosing a legal firm. We recognise the lack of provision of this information by legal firms and we have now published what we will require of our firms to improve transparency for consumers.
